We are pleased to announce that Carpe Diem BJJ Jiyugaoka athlete Shinnosuke Kajiwara has partnered with Divine Solutions Japan. Shinnosuke has been actively competing at a high level in recent months, delivering strong and promising results. He is currently one of the top purple belt featherweights in Asia, and we are confident that his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu career will continue to thrive.

Shinnosuke Kajiwara is 27 years old, turning 28 this year. Originally from Tokyo, he spent much of his life abroad after leaving Japan at 16 to study and work, only returning last year to live with his family again. He attended high school on the Gold Coast in Australia, then went on to study computer science at a university in Colorado, USA. It was during his university years—just before turning 22—that a friend introduced him to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Since then, he’s been fully dedicated, balancing work while consistently training and improving his skills. Today, he works as a tour guide at the Imperial Palace, leading English-speaking visitors through one of Japan’s most historic landmarks. With the support of Thomas Mietz, owner and head coach at Carpe Diem Jyugaoka and his community, he has recently begun competing more, and taking his Jiu-Jitsu to the next level.
